Get to Know Mardan

"Prior to the Tepper School, I worked for two Japanese multi-national chemical manufacturers: one in the automotive raw material space and the other in pharmaceutical ingredients and health and wellness space. I was fortunate enough to have worked in Japan, Germany, and the U.S. (Michigan & New York) throughout my career so far and truly appreciate the diversity of thought, personality, and perspectives.

"I decided to transition to consulting because I loved engaging with clients in my previous roles and I wanted to continue to learn about different fields, work in teams and find creative ways to solve complex business problems.

"I chose the Tepper School because of the breadth of technology-related courses in the curriculum. I believe that to be a successful consultant these days, we need to leverage technical tools to provide sustainable digital solutions as well as to guard against disruption. Lastly, I speak four languages- Uyghur, Japanese, Mandarin, and English. I've lived in many places throughout my life and Pittsburgh is definitely one of my favorites! Happy to chat about anything from my experiences at the Tepper School, career choices, recruiting, or the best restaurant in town."
