Get to Know Michael

"I grew up in Des Plaines, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, and attended Loyola University Chicago for my undergrad, studying history. I was commissioned as an armor officer in the U.S. Army through Loyola's ROTC program and initially served in Germany for more than three years. I later spent the last year of my time in service as an officer candidate school instructor in Fort Benning, Georgia. In transitioning from the Army, I knew that in order to realize my goals, I needed quantitative skills that, to that point, I had yet to develop.

"In visiting several programs, it was clear to me that Tepper had a rigorous academic program that instills hard skills without neglecting intangible lessons, such as leadership. Furthermore, I felt a strong sense of community among Tepper's students and faculty, and I realized that Tepper's supportive environment was the ideal place for me to learn and grow."
