Analytical Models in Digital Economy

Broadly, the objective of this course is to expose Ph.D. students to various techniques in analytical modeling and introduce them to currently active research areas. Specifically, we will learn how game theory can be used to analyze business problems. We will also discuss some key concepts particularly related to the digital economy such as network effects, two-sided markets and learn how to model such features. The course is of seminar nature, i.e., the students are expected to present papers to the rest of the class. In the end, the students are expected to submit a research proposal.
