Course Number: 45993

Hong Kong-China Study Abroad (12 units)

Hong Kong-China Study Abroad is a four week experience that takes place in spring 2019, Mini 4. The program runs for four weeks (beginning in mid-March 2019). The partner school is The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School. Classes will be held Monday through Thursday with class content covering topics such as Bank Lending in China, Corporate Governance in China, Comparison of China's Equity Markets: Hong Kong, Shanghai and Shenzhen, and Entrepreneurship in Asia.

Most of the classes will be conducted in Hong Kong, however, students will travel to Macau, Shenzhen and Guangzhou.

The cost is $4,000 which includes lodging, the required student visa, some ground transportation and approximately 35% of the daily meals within the scope of the four week program. This is above and beyond your Tepper tuition. It does not include airfare or personal expenditures or a tourist visa for entering mainland China. Students participating in this capstone are also required to obtain a single entry tourist visa (at their own cost) in order to participate in programming in mainland China -- Shenzhen and Guangzhou).

In Mini 3 there will be a required 6 unit prep course.

All students will be required to return to Tepper to participate in a project presentation to complete the course during Mini 4 finals week.

A study abroad is a student experience; partners and/or spouses are not permitted to travel with students going to Hong Kong.

A non-refundable $1,000 deposit will be required by May 4, 2018.
