Tepper’s Online MBA Ranked #1 by Poets&Quants

Noelle Wiker

The Tepper School of Business topped the Poets&Quants annual ranking of Online MBA programs, up from fourth place last year.

The Poets&Quants Top Online MBA Programs of 2020 ranking is based on three equally weighted categories: admission standards, academic experience, and career outcomes. The Tepper School placed #1 for admission standards (up from 6th in 2019), #2 for academic experience (up from 5th in 2019), and #3 for career outcomes (up from 10th in 2019).

Admission data incorporated undergraduate GPA, work experience, and GMAT for enrolled students, as well as the school’s overall acceptance rate. For the other criteria, Poets&Quants surveyed alumni from the classes of 2018 and 2019, including questions about their satisfaction with consulting projects during the program, their career achievement, the availability of faculty, and the support of career advisers.

“We pride ourselves on delivering the same quality education, student experience, and career advancement in all three of our MBA delivery formats: Full-Time, Part-Time Flex, and Part-Time Online Hybrid,” said Bob Dammon, Dean of the Tepper School. “This recognition is incredibly exciting, and reflects the quality and impact of a Tepper School education.”

Tepper’s Part-Time Online Hybrid MBA has several differentiators that contribute to this ranking, such as the high caliber of the faculty, who teach the same courses to online and full-time MBA students; access to the same career services and leadership coaching offered to full-time students; and Access Weekends, during which students travel to various cities to participate in educational activities, professional seminars and build their networks with students and faculty.
