The fall/winter 2019 issue of Tepper Magazine is now available.

In this issue, the cover feature — “Sustaining the Next Century: Prosperity for People, Profits, and Planet” — explores the business case for renewable and other sustainable energy sources. Current MBA student Giovanna Chabot and Tepper School of Business alumni Lisa Haley (MSIA 1985) and Jon Hougland (MSIA 1997) share their experiences from the energy industry. Faculty members Jay Apt, Nicholas Muller, Nicola Secomandi, and Chris Telmer provide insights from their work at the Tepper School.

The Enterprising Leaders column features alumni entrepreneurs Daphne Carmeli (MSIA 1991) and JJ Xu (MBA 2018) alongside investors Bruce Gebhardt (MSIA 1984) and John Levinson (MSIA 1980), talking about their experiences throughout the entrepreneurial process.

Alumni features include Carnegie Ties, spotlighting the longtime friendship between Ann Marie Petach (MSIA 1984) and Patricia Little (MSIA 1984), and Versatile Pathfinder, exploring the career path of Neal Rajdev (MBA 2009) through the financial industry and health care into the growing agricultural technology space.

The Polymaths column spotlights five recent alumni who combine creativity and analytical prowess. MBA alumni Max Friedman, Rashmi Gowda, Kenneth Hendrata, Swati Khushalani, and Charles Larkin share what memories from business school still makes them smile and the last book that impressed them, along with many other questions about their personal and professional lives.

Emerging Insights summarizes four recent research projects from James Albertus and Brent Glover; Laurence Ales; Soo-Haeng Cho, Alan Scheller-Wolf, and Neda Mirzaeian; and Maryam Saeedi. And the Trending Topics column, written by Param Vir Singh, considers some of the emerging real-world applications of blockchain technologies.
