As a complement to MBA coursework, students must complete the three core graduation requirements outlined below as part of the Accelerate Leadership program.
Students must complete each of the three below components as a crucial part of their development and success, both during the MBA program and in the working world.
Manager Ready® Assessment
Our leadership program includes Manager Ready®, a behavioral assessment that evaluates leadership proficiency in seven key areas using real-time scenarios. Developed and assessed by global talent management firm Development Dimensions International (DDI), students undergo a rigorous evaluation of the following competencies:
- Managing relationships
- Guiding interactions
- Delegation and empowerment
- Planning and organizing
Highly trained assessors score and generate individual feedback reports tailored for leadership development. The Tepper School is the first business school to offer DDI’s award-winning assessment tools, giving students a competitive advantage via principles and tools relied upon by Fortune 100 executives.
Manager Ready® Feedback Workshop
Once MBA students have completed their Manager Ready® assessments, they receive a detailed report of their leadership competencies. Students attend an interactive workshop to receive guidance in interpreting their assessment reports. Facilitated by an Accelerate Leadership coach, the workshop highlights specific behaviors related to these competencies and allows students to discuss report findings with their peers.
Leadership Immersion Workshops
The Leadership Immersion Workshops consist of three required sessions that delve deeper into specific leadership areas to increase self-awareness and complement students’ MBA coursework. Workshop topics may include emotional intelligence, conflict management, intercultural awareness and design thinking and innovation.
