Support for Faculty

Our Job Is To Help You Be Successful

At the Eberly Center, our goal is to support you in your teaching and help you evolve as an educator. As experienced teachers, we know how complex and challenging teaching can be. As teaching consultants, we know it’s helpful to talk through teaching challenges with someone else.

We encourage you to take advantage of the Eberly Center’s resources as you work to become more effective – and more efficient! – in your teaching. Here are some of the services we provide.

We offer individual, confidential consultations to faculty colleagues concerning any teaching issue, large or small. For example, we can help you:

  • Revise learning objectives
  • Create syllabi
  • Generate creative assignment ideas
  • Develop rubrics for projects

We can also help you trouble-shoot more complex teaching problems by gathering relevant information, helping you interpret it, and working together to generate effective solutions.

Engaging workshops and seminars

Every semester we bring faculty together from across the university to discuss common teaching and learning issues in our popular faculty teaching workshops.

Award-winning web tool

The Solve a Teaching Problem tool on this website helps instructors diagnose and solve their own teaching problems. Give it a try!

Ample web resources

Our website offers valuable information that will help you design and teach courses. We also provide a wide range of sample syllabi, rubrics, learning objectives, and course policies.
