Bio

I am currently pursuing a Ph.D in Literary and Cultural studies. My research focuses on narratives of displacement in 20th and 21st century American literature and culture with an emphasis on the relationships between gender, sexuality, and identity broadly in these accounts. Before starting the PhD, I worked as a Curriculum Developer for the Institute of Reading Development where I constructed innovative instruction content for students from kindergarten to 12th grade. I also previously held three federal internships with the Department of Homeland Security, the State Department, and the US Commercial Service. As a Supervisor and Consultant with Communication and Language Support, I specialize in graduate-level writing, application materials, and grant and fellowship proposals.
