Carnegie Mellon University
Carnegie Mellon has a strong tradition of philanthropy, both in raising monetary donations to bolster the efforts of a community partner or to meet a community need through in-kind donations. Oftentimes our students are taking the lead with impressive examples such as Greek Sing and Donut Dash in the Greek community or FORGE’s Winter Clothing Drive and Spirit's school supplies drive among recognized student organizations.

Interested in organizing a fundraiser or collections drive? Contact SLICE to schedule an appointment so that we can guide, support, and publicize your initiative.

Students, faculty, staff, and partners can also participate in major philanthropic initiatives such as the Thanksgiving Basket Drive, Toys for Tots, or the Whatever Drive, our end of the year residence hall donation collection.

The university also regularly hosts blood drives throughout campus to support the American Red Cross  and the Central Blood Bank’s lifesaving missions. Contact Michaela Page if your organization is interested in hosting a blood drive on campus . To donate blood, schedule your donation time in advance or sign-up for a timeslot on the day of the drive.
