Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

The MLK Day of Service occurs on one of the Saturday’s adjacent to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in January. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to sign-up for the Day of Service with a group or on their own. The day of service is accompanied by a series of programs throughout the month and semester that honor Dr. King’s legacy of tolerance, peace, and equality. Students, faculty, and staff work on projects relating to social change, community building, diversity and multicultural understanding. Past projects have highlighted social issues such as hunger, homelessness, racism and poverty.
