Title: The Future of Consultation and Location - From Social to Mobile

Select2gether has created an infrastructure for serving 10 million products. It has shown to be able to handle millions of hits a month with multi-hundred thousand dedicated users at any particular time. The site has been a magnet for aspirational design. It also serves the need of users to get advice and enables consultants to generate revenues and consult online. The problems faced by today's online advisors in travel, retail, healthcare, and engineering are as much about synchronization, a-synchronization, calendar, location, mobile, interactivity, security, as about user experience.

The talk will describe pivotal experiences that have brought the company to an exciting model of how advisors and user can interact by showing people how they can create events, design their trips or plan their houses, and most importantly, how to enable experts to consult interactively and give personalized answers. The talk will also include a demonstration of the system.
