Posting Jobs & Internships-Silicon Valley Campus - Carnegie Mellon University

Post a Job or Internship

At CMU-SV we have the unique opportunity to truly get to know our students and their specific talents and interests, helping us find better matches for your recruiting needs. We are proud of this and eager to connect you to Carnegie Mellon University talent! Please also take the time to review our Hiring and Offer Policy.

Distributing a Posting

If you are interested in distributing a job or internship posting to all CMU-SV students, please email Lauren Schachar at with the specific job posting and instructions on how to apply. If the position is approved for posting, it will be emailed to students via a “jobs and internships” posting.

Position-Specific Resume Book

We are also able to create customized resume books for specific job or internship postings. These are the next steps if you are interested in this method of posting a job or internship:

  1. Email Lauren Schachar at the job or internship posting and a deadline for when you’d like the resumes by.
  2. If approved, Career Services will email students and invite them to submit their resume. If you’d also like them to apply on your website, please make this clear in the posting.
  3. Career Services will email a folder of all resumes on the deadline decided by you and Career Services.
  4. Please update us to let us know if you conduct any interviews or make any offers.

Employers may also want to consider posting positions to Carnegie Mellon University’s central online job database, Handshake, which will reach the wider CMU student community. We work closely with the Career and Professional Development Center at CMU’s main campus in Pittsburgh to connect employers to the right students. There is no fee associated with posting a job or internship. Once you request your Handshake account and are approved to use our system, you will be able to log back in and create a job posting.

If you decide to post on Handshake, please email to let Career Services know when the position has been posted along with the job id# so that we can highlight the position to CMU-SV students.
