To meet the demanding technical needs of the area, Carnegie Mellon University’s College of Engineering offers several distinctive graduate programs at the Silicon Valley campus. There are some important things for you to know about our students before recruiting on campus.

  • Enrollment: 36 PhD students in Electrical and Computer Engineering and more than 350 masters students— Electrical and Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Software Management, and Information Technology (Mobility and Security tracks).
  • Students come from a variety of backgrounds and experience levels.
  • Our students apply through the competitive programs at CMU's main campus and either select the Silicon Valley location or are selected to attend based on their interests and professional goals.
