96-832 Introduction to Service Management


Seventy to 80% of the US economy comes from services and about 50% of the global economy is service-centric today. Future jobs and advancement in most organizations will be spawned by the growth of knowledge- and software-intensive service systems. Participants in this course will be able to gain an understanding of the recent history, trends, and the multi-disciplinary nature of work in services business environments. This course will introduce you to a deep understanding of service systems from a services–dominant viewpoint and will provide participants with an opportunity to explore the relevance of this field to your current work settings. You will use the information gained in the course to carry out your exploratory project.
