DETOUR DIRECTIONS

NASA Ames Security

All visitors must pass through a security gate to reach the campus. A valid government-issued photo ID (driver's license, state ID card, passport) is required. When presenting your ID, let them know you are going to Carnegie Mellon.

To CMU Building 23 — S. Akron Road

  • Follow Ellis St. to stop sign and turn left on Cody Rd
  • Continue on Cody Rd. then turn left on Wescoat Rd.
  • Continue on Wescoat Rd and you will see a residential area and a chapel on your left. Building 23 will be on your right at the corner of Wescoat and South Akron Rd.
  • Make a right into CMU's parking lot behind Building 23.
  • Accessible entry to Building 23 is available via the elevator at the front of the building or by ramp at the back of the building.

To CMU Building 19 — N. Akron Road

  • Follow Ellis St. to stop sign and turn left on Cody Rd.
  • Continue on Cody Rd. then turn left on Wescoat Rd.
  • Continue on Wescoat Rd. three streets to McCord Ave and turn right
    • Turn left on N. Akron Road to reach the front of Building 19.
    • Continue on McCord Ave past the US Post Office and turn into the parking lot on your left to park behind Building 19.
  • Accessible entry to Building 19 is available by ramp at the back of the building.
