Neelam Sharma is a member of PwC’s Advanced Risk and Compliance Analytics (ARCA) practice, leading engagements that use data to provide insight to financial and operational challenges at financial services, FinTech and technology clients, with a focus on financial crimes risk and compliance and incorporating analytics into internal audit processes. In this role, Sharma has managed large-scale IT SOX compliance projects (including planning and testing of IT controls); assisted IA functions in developing analytic strategies, incorporating methodologies and executing their analytics roadmap; and assisted clients in identifying and designing new visual and predictive analytics solutions, as well as in assessing and remediating data quality issues. She has experience with anti-money laundering (AML) transaction monitoring solutions, regulatory reporting and risk management systems.

Sharma joined PwC in 2000. Prior to her current role, she served as PwC Risk Assurance Strategy, Sales and Marketing Leader, spearheading the Risk Assurance sales and marketing program from its inception and providing strategic value by developing client acquisition and retention strategies, resulting in significant new business and further elevating the PwC Risk Assurance brand. Previously, she led the marketing team for PwC’s Industrial Products sector.

Sharma holds a master’s degree in public administration from Pace University. She has a management certification from the Wharton School and has attended courses in business analytics and data mining at Carnegie Mellon University.
