Dr. Singh's research interests lie at the intersection of signal processing, statistics and machine learning. She is interested in developing techniques that can adaptively exploit the structure inherent in data from complex and large-scale systems for statistically and computationally efficient inference. The primary thrust of her research is on bridging the gap between theoretically optimal and practically useful methods, for applications including networked systems, brain imaging and bioinformatics.

Her work is recognized by an NSF Career Award, a United States Air Force Young Investigator Award, A. Nico Habermann Faculty Chair Award, and Harold A. Peterson Best Dissertation Award.
