Integrated Security Service

The Integrated Security Service (ISS) provides a centrally managed surveillance camera video recording, storage and retrieval system for the Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh campus.  The service is managed by the University Police Department and enhances the overall safety and security of the campus community.

Cameras are placed in areas based on a comprehensive review and assessment process with privacy concerns as a core foundation.  The service is part of an integrated security plan that includes police mini stations, campus officers, foot and bicycle patrols, security officers, as well as mobile patrols of the campus.
