Nicolas Hernandez

As one of two Document Managers in OIE, Nick Hernandez has primary responsibilities for issuing I-20 and DS-2019 documents for new incoming students and scholars. Nick also serves as liaison to department coordinators.

Nick earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Kent State University, and his Master of Science degree in Accounting from Kent State. Prior to his work at Carnegie Mellon, Nick served as a campus minister at Gannon University in Erie, PA, as well as an admissions counselor and academic advisor at Kent State.

Pittsburgh is Nick’s favorite city! One of his favorite aspects about Carnegie Mellon is meeting people from so many different cultures. When not in the office, Nick enjoys hiking, biking, taking care of his two dogs, and exploring local eateries.
