Mary Ganska
Foreign Student and Scholar Advisor
Mary is one of OIE's Foreign Student and Scholar Advisors. Previously, Mary served as one of the Document Managers in OIE and issued I-20 and DS-2019 documents for new, incoming students and scholars. Mary also serves as a liaison to department coordinators.
Mary completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh. During her undergraduate years, she studied abroad in New Zealand and also traveled with her community band to perform in Croatia and Slovenia. Her position prior to joining Carnegie Mellon was at a global furniture retailer as a member of the sales management team. She also was selected to travel abroad to Kosovo with Save the Children to personally see and document the projects and campaigns that were funded through initiatives in the store.
Mary loves all that Pittsburgh has to offer and is happy to be working at Carnegie Mellon with the great team at OIE. Her weekend hobbies include photography, hiking with her dog, and spending time with her friends and family at the many unique and creative events around Pittsburgh.
