The purpose of the Forum on Nanotechnology is to provide a platform for researchers from the U.S. and Korea to discuss emerging technologies that advance the state of the art in nanotechnology and related fields. This year's Forum focuses on (i) energy-efficient systems for artificial intelligence, (ii) quantum/nano technologies, and (iii) neuromorphic systems and applications.
These Fora are held on the recommendation of the Korea-U.S. Joint Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation. The first Forum took place two decades ago, and since then, the Fora have alternated between Korea and the U.S. Because nanotechnology intersects a broad range of fields, each with a wide array of technical challenges, each Forum has centered on a different emerging technology. The year’s Forum, the 20th in the series, will feature three keynote speakers, 23 senior presenters, and 10 early-career presenters from the U.S. and Korea.
We expect this year’s Forum to lead to meaningful milestones and to strengthen research collaborations between our two countries in fields where artificial intelligence and quantum technology are expected to generate significant economic and social impact. We hope the discussions at the Forum will help both nations pivot toward transformative approaches to novel quantum and neuromorphic systems and computing technologies, and toward new and innovative approaches for research collaboration.
We look forward to seeing you in Raleigh!
Sincerely,
The Organizing Committee
