Bio

Rishab Kaul graduated from Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication engineering. He developed an interest in finance during his second year at his undergraduate university by reading books and pursuing online courses in his spare time. To deepen his understanding of finance and economics he took up two research projects which have since been published. Rishab has always had a strong interest in the application of quantitative methods to solve real-world problems. He has interned with L&T Financial services in the past, exploring the mutual fund industry in India and developing skills such as portfolio analysis and performance evaluation. Prior to joining the MSCF program, Rishab was a project trainee with Larsen and Toubro, during which he developed a non-commercial smart energy meter prototype. Quantitative finance aligns with his passion for finance and his skill set and abilities developed over the years through research, academic and professional experiences. During his time at VIT, Rishab was elected as the vice-president of the Computer Society of India- VIT chapter. This experience developed his leadership abilities and taught him vital lessons in team management. He is extremely fond of public speaking and debating and has actively participated in events in the past. He likes to listen to music, cycle and read up about current affairs in his free time. Rishab joined the MSCF program to further nurture his quantitative skills and programming fluency to apply them to the field of finance. Upon graduation, he wishes to pursue roles in quantitative research or quantitative trading.
