Bio

Ubaldo Lopez is the only student from Latin America in his class. Before the MSCF Program, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico and worked for four years at Banco de Mexico in the Domestic Markets Analysis Division. This job made him passionate about both financial markets and programming. He learned how to assess risk and market conditions in equity, foreign exchange and fixed income markets from developing economies, and he was also responsible for presenting statistics on foreign investors portfolio of Mexican securities. His achievements earned him a promotion as Head of Market Indicators and Statistics, responsible for training and supervising a team of three people. Ubaldo’s interdisciplinary background led him to the MSCF program to further strengthen his understandings of the financial markets and quantitative aptitudes to pursue a successful career in the financial industry. When not coding, Ubaldo enjoys science fiction and triathlonism.
