Kai Yang (Bond) Chen

Kai Yang (Bond) Chen graduated from University of Toronto in 2020, earning a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Engineering Science with a major in Engineering Mathematics, Statistics and Finance, and a minor in Artificial Intelligence Engineering. During his undergraduate study, Bond established his career goal in quant finance while working at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a Fixed Income Trading Analyst. He assisted in managing the Canadian Residential Mortgage Portfolio and developed MBS valuation models. Bond also developed his research and analytical skills while working on academic research projects at UofT. Bond joined the MSCF program to further research opportunities for incorporating data science and machine learning into quantitative investing. He plans to leverage his knowledge and skills in a career in Quantitative Research or Trading.
