Class of 2019
Anna Semakhin graduated from McGill University with a joint honors degree in economics and finance and minor in mathematics. After graduation, Anna went through the Professional Development Rotational Program at State Street Global Markets, focusing on market risk, fixed income and FX options. She then moved on to Eaton Vance Investment Management, where she works as a senior trader and market strategist as part of the Global Income team. Her time at Eaton Vance led Anna to become interested in applying quantitative methods to fundamental portfolio management as a way to aid in asset selection and risk assessment. She also is a CFA charter holder. Anna is hoping to leverage the knowledge gained through the MSCF program to develop new methods in asset allocation and help further the role of quantitative analysis in asset management.
