Class of 2018

Zimo (Jerry) Ouyang graduated from Emory University, Atlanta with a Bachelor of Science degree in applied mathematics in 2016.  During his undergraduate study, the constant curiosity in finance and satisfaction from quantitative problem solving triggered his passion in applying mathematics and programming to the financial field. Prior to joining MSCF, he interned at China International Capital Corporation (CICC) as an investment banking summer analyst, where he conducted due diligence of a medicine company for its private placement and assisted in compiling a pitch book for a potential M&A deal in the animal healthcare industry. Later, he was exposed to various financial products and individually developed a quantitative momentum stock selection strategy as a quantitative investment summer analyst in Guangzhou Securities. These experiences further motivated him to join the MSCF program in the hope of leveraging his quantitative skills to pursue a career in sales and trading or investment management.
