Pittsburgh Campus

Xige (Nicole) Zhang graduated from the University of Michigan with dual degrees in financial mathematics and statistics. While at the University of Michigan, she was awarded the James B. Angell Scholar, university honors and the Evelyn O. Bychinsky Award. Nicole worked in the Statistical Reinforcement Learning Lab at UMICH as an undergraduate researcher, and wrote her honor thesis based on her research project about the robustness of an actor critic contextual bandit algorithm. In her project investigating the performance of the algorithm, Nicole applied simulation and modeling methods, and updated the algorithm on a time series to observe the optimal performance via MATLAB. Nicole joined the MSCF program in the hope of acquiring more comprehensive quantitative skills for a career path in risk management.
