Class of 2018
Ning Yang graduated with the highest distinction from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in economics (honors) and a minor in mathematics in 2016. She received the Allan Hess Award/Scholarship for Excellence and was selected to join Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. Ning was admitted to REU program in the summer of 2015 and conducted a research project entitled “Pricing Theories in Discrete Models” granted by NSF, where she gained substantial training in asset pricing, quantitative modeling and mathematics. Furthermore, her senior honor thesis investigated the cultural factors on gender differences of mathematics score by rigorous regression analysis. Moreover, she obtained extensive knowledge of financial markets when she interned at IBD in China International Capital Corporation(CICC). Ning joined the MSCF program in hopes of further developing her mathematics and programming skills and leveraging her quantitative skills to pursue a career in risk management, quantitative research, or asset management.
