Class of 2018
Jingyi Lin graduated from the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in finance. The undergraduate study in the CFA experiment class gave her a sound foundation in financial theories and market sense. Through the National Mathematical Contest in Modeling and various course projects, Jingyi gradually grew her interest in quantitative finance. During a 6-month internship at Thomson Reuters as a content analyst, her daily job included maintaining two background databases which stored all bond information in the China market and developing Excel tables to cleanse data using both SQL and Excel VBA, which not only gave her broad market knowledge but honed her programming skills as well. Jingyi interned at China Credit Rating Co., Ltd, where she worked in financial statement analysis. Jingyi hopes to leverage her quantitative skills, gain deeper understanding of mathematical theories behind markets, and strengthen her programming skills. Jingyi seeks a career in trading, asset management or risk management.
