Class of 2018
Justin Alick graduated magna cum laude from St. John’s University’s School of Risk Management, earning a Bachelor of Science in actuarial science. His professional experiences have included roles in identifying loss signals in AIG’s casualty line, auditing ambiguous actuarial reserve segments with KPMG Advisory, and pricing complex reinsurance products at Odyssey Reinsurance. In addition, Justin independently developed his C++ and Python skill-set, enabling him to write an alternate method of calculating a rolling volatility measure and used the EWMA model to compare for fitness using Python’s pandas package. Through the MSCF program, Justin hopes to leverage his quantitative skill-set into a role in electronic market-making or as a desk quant.
