Guillermo Perez earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics with a minor in mathematics from McGill University with First Class Honors in 2014. Prior to the MSCF program, Guillermo worked two years at the Bank of Canada as a research assistant in the Financial Stability Department. As a member of the Financial Institutions Division, he gained hands-on experience with model development, machine learning, policy analysis, and research. Collaborating on the bi-annual stress test exercise of the Canadian banking system triggered his interest in quantitative finance.  He passed the CFA level II exam. Guillermo joined the MSCF program to further explore the field of quantitative finance and strengthen his quantitative skills. He intends to pursue a passionate career in asset management, quantitative research, or risk management.
