Class of 2018
Divya Kasturirangan graduated with distinction from National Institute of Technology, Trichy in 2014. Her undergraduate studies in instrumentation and control engineering gave her a strong background in both mathematics and programming. Her interest in finance drove her to work as an analyst in the Prime Services Risk Team at Credit Suisse in Mumbai, where she worked for two years in conjunction with the Risk Teams in New York, London and Hong Kong. Divya worked on evaluating counterparty risk, understanding macro-economic trends using hedge fund activity and improving existing VaR models. This helped her gain valuable exposure to the various asset classes and financial markets. Her work experience motivated her to further her knowledge in the quantitative aspects of finance. Divya joined the MSCF program to build on her mathematical and quantitative abilities, in order to pursue a career in quantitative research and asset management.
