Bio

Bocheng (Kelvin) Duanmu graduated from the University of Toronto in 2016 with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics (statistics stream) with high distinction. He was a University of Toronto Scholar twice, made the honours list twice, and dean’s list. He interned at the Bank of Nova Scotia (Scotiabank) as a Business Analyst Associate within the RMIT - Grp Treasury, Gbl Risk Mgmt. He maintained “Derivative Hedge Database/Hedge Accounting Management,” a web application developed by Scotiabank to evaluate different hedging strategies, and reported possible flaws in the application. He also interned at CaseWare International Inc. in Quality Assurance Automation, where he wrote and conducted numerous API and performance tests and migrated data into a new database. Inspired by his undergraduate actuarial science professor, he developed keen interests in quantitative finance. He joined the MSCF program to develop the skill set required to seek a career in quantitative research, trading and asset management.
