Carnegie Mellon University

Alumni Gifts

Twenty-two years ago, Carnegie Mellon created the first degree in the area of quantitative finance. Much copied, but never surpassed, MSCF remains the best program of its kind and one of the University's proudest collaborative achievements. Now, we ask your financial support in helping us keep on top!

Please consider making a gift to the Master of Science in Computational Finance Fund providing for scholarships and other needs of the program and/or a gift to the Steve Shreve Endowed Educational Enrichment Fund. You will see these designations on our online giving form.

The Steve Shreve Educational Enrichment Fund is a faculty fellowship endowment supporting faculty working to advance the MSCF curriculum and the overall MSCF educational experience. It was created in 2016 by the MSCF Steering Committee as a way of honoring Professor Shreve’s impact on computational finance at CMU. To date, we have $160K of the $250K needed to give the program a permanent source of income.

We hope you will consider making a multi-year pledge or one-time gift to these funds.
Please contact Kristin DiFoglio, Senior Director of MSCF Development, with any questions you may have.

Matching Gift Opportunities
Many companies, as well as their subsidiaries and divisions, match charitable gifts of their employees and spouses, board members, and retired employees. Corporate matching gifts are a vital source of funding for the MSCF Program. To see if you qualify for a matching gift program, please go to the Carnegie Mellon's Matching Gift website's online listing of matching gift companies.
