Rail~Volution Comes to Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh has been changing the way people think about mobility - and the way people think about Pittsburgh. From a leader in steel to a leader in smart traffic light technology, autonomous vehicles, bike lanes and transportation policy, it’s no surprise Rail~Volution has decided to host their annual conference in the Steel City.
For more than 20 years, Rail~Volution has been organizing outreach and advocacy events geared towards developing solutions to metropolitan transportation problems. From Seattle to Miami, rail~volution has been showcasing the innovations in transportation and proving that investment in transportation creates vibrant cities.
The Rail~Volution annual conference brings together people from around the world to engage in meaningful discussions with leaders and innovators in transportation. It is an opportunity to share ideas, frustrations, inspiration and solutions for building livable communities through transportation.
Carnegie Mellon University’s Traffic21 Research Institute and Metro21: Smart Cities Institute will be in attendance at the Rail~Volution Annual Conference! Metro21 Executive Director, Karen Lightman, will be moderating the Panel: Technology, Community Development, Equity/Economic Opportunity on Monday, October 22 at 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm.
