Lunch with Secretary Foxx, Insightful Podcasts & Smart City Projects - Metro21 Summer Newsletter

Metro21: Smart Cities Institute released our Summer Newsletter!

Our top story is about Metro21’s Secretary Anthony Foxx, the Former U.S. Secretary of Transportation, who joined staff, faculty, and students this May for a lunch on transit initiatives. Secretary Foxx was appointed as a Metro21 Distinguished Executive in Residence in September 2018, and we were happy to have him on campus for this conversation. For more on this event, read more here.

We recap some of our very best this year here, from conferences to collaborative projects, lunch and learns, and podcasts. If you missed any, don’t fret! You can listen to our recordings from the year, including our most recent guests from Delft University of Technology and Anna Seifkin of CMU’s Scott Institute for Energy Innovation.

This was a big year for Metro21, as the institute was featured in the news 17 times and has a growing social media following. If you’re interested in seeing some of the work we do, be sure to follow us on the following platforms:

Remember, our Newsletter is the best way to stay up to date on all things Metro21.
