Join us to learn about their UTC project, “Visual Understanding of Traffic at Intersections: Access to real-time information” and how it is essential to the success of smart transportation systems especially at points of planned conflict such as intersections!
Visual data provides a rich understanding of the road environment. Unfortunately, high data volume coupled with low latency requirements makes remote data analysis ineffective. By connecting computers to cameras with a high-speed connection, real-time analytics can be computed.
Who: Srinivasa Narasimhan, the Interim Director and Professor of the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University and Robert Tamburo, Senior Project Scientist at Carnegie Mellon University in the Robotics Institute.
