Cyber Circus to Kickoff NCSAM

The National Cyber Security Alliance and the US Department of Homeland Security launched National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) in 2004 to promote cyber awareness. This year’s theme “Own IT. Secure. IT. Protect IT.” encourages personal accountability and proactive behavior in digital privacy, security best practices, common cyber threats and cybersecurity careers.

The Information Security Office (ISO) wants YOU to make good “cyber” choices! Join the team for a Cyber Circus, October 16, 11am – 2pm at the CUC Connan Room 1st floor! There will be games to test your cyber security skills and a chance to win some great prizes!

Visit the Information Security Office site regularly in the coming months for articles and events that continue the “Own IT. Secure. IT. Protect IT.” theme.

As members of the campus community we are all responsible for the security of our shared resources. The best strategy for protecting university data is to take responsibility for your own security.
