Student Activities Committee

The Institute for Politics and Strategy Student Activities Committee (IPS SAC) is comprised of undergraduate and graduate students with a declared major or minor in the Institute for Politics and Strategy. The IPS SAC meets on a monthly basis and is a way for IPS students to make the most of their time at CMU. There will be opportunities to plan social events and to be involved with student life within IPS and civic engagement within CMU.

The primary functions of the IPS SAC include:

  • Organize IPS student-centered events and programs and disseminate information regarding relevant topics and events in IPS
  • Provide feedback and insight on academic issues
  • Promote a sense of community within IPS

Coloring! December 2 through December 13 Outside Porter Hall 100. There will also be pages for takeaway outside Emily Half's office, Porter Hall 223H. Stop by any time you need a break!
Study Session with Snacks December 2, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Baker Hall Lower Lounge Come prepare for your finals in a relaxed setting and enjoy some snacks!
Soccer Game December 9, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wiegand Gym, CUC Join your friends (and maybe even some faculty) for a friendly soccer match!
Yoga Nap December 10, 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Activities Room, CUC

What's a "Yoga Nap"? School of Music Professor Monique Mead leads a restorative yoga class - with live music performed by students from the School of Music!

Come chill on your mat, partake in relaxing stretches, or just take a nap! Mats and equipment available if needed; bring your own or use ours.
