The Institute for Politics and Strategy sponsors the Carnegie Mellon University Journal for Politics and Strategy, an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to publish their work in international relations and political science. Students from across campus contribute scholarly analyses of current problems facing the United States and the international system and perform interviews with the nation’s thought leaders.
The journal (which used to be known as the Center for International Relations and Politics, or CIRP, Journal) demonstrates our students’ passion for interdisciplinary research that involves current policy issues. Many of the students published in previous editions of this journal have gone on to work in the same fields about which they wrote.
We invite our Carnegie Mellon community and affiliates to engage in important policy issues by reading this edition of the Journal. We hope you find the journal and our students’ research to be as captivating and enjoyable as we have.
