Bio

Julie M. Wilson is Deputy General Counsel in the Office of General Counsel of the National Treasury Employees Union. Since joining NTEU in 2003, Julie has litigated a broad range of constitutional, administrative, and labor law issues in a number of administrative forums and in the federal courts. She has briefed and argued, or supervised the briefing and argument of, cases at all levels of the federal court system, including the U.S. Supreme Court. She is responsible for addressing significant legal questions raised by internal union components as well as outside entities, such as Congress, federal agencies, and the press.

Julie graduated from Carnegie Mellon, Phi Beta Kappa, in 1999 with a BS in Political Science, Social History, and Spanish from the Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences. She loves Carnegie Mellon so much that she refused to leave, staying as a Fifth Year Scholar until May 2000. From 2011 to 2015, Julie was a member of the Carnegie Mellon Alumni Association Board. She was also an inaugural member of the Carnegie Mellon Annual Giving Committee. Julie holds a JD and MA International Politics from American University in Washington DC. She lives in Pittsburgh with her husband Marcio and their two children, Marcio and Elena.
