Director of The HUB & Associate Director of Enrollment Services
As Director of The HUB and Associate Director of Enrollment Services, Maggie Sikora and her team are fully committed to student success and persistence, and the work of The HUB aims to constantly reflect that commitment. The HUB serves as Carnegie Mellon University’s centralized student service center, delivering comprehensive service to students and families regarding financial aid, billing and payment, and registration and records. The HUB also offers ID Card services to the CMU community, which not only serves as the official identification card for all institutional members, but also provides access to many campus facilities and services.
Maggie has over a decade of experience in higher education administration, and has had the opportunity to work for a variety of institutions throughout her tenure. Prior to joining CMU, she served as the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Services for the School of Education at the University of Pittsburgh, where she and her colleagues focused primarily on the recruitment and retention of graduate students. Maggie also served as the Assistant Director for the Institute of Law and Public Policy at California University of PA, where she was able to gain experience in grant research and writing. She has worked in the admissions and enrollment sector for both Gannon University and Mercyhurst University, where her focus was on access and persistence for undergraduate student populations.
A 2004 (B.A., Communication Arts) and 2009 (M.A., English Literature) graduate of Gannon University in Erie, PA, Maggie earned her doctorate in higher education management at the University of Pittsburgh in 2017, where she focused her research on issues related to race and equity in higher education and enrollment. She considers this as central to her work in post-secondary administration.
Maggie and her husband Mark reside in the surrounding area along with their daughter and son.
