Rebecca Choltco

Director of Communication

In her role as Director of Communication for Enrollment Services, Rebecca Choltco is responsible for managing and coordinating the communication, marketing and media functions within the division. She develops strategic communication plans and provides oversight for all written content and creative design for each of the division’s seven departments

Becky began her career at Carnegie Mellon as the Assistant Director of Communication for Enrollment Services in 2006. Previously, she served as the Assistant Director of Communication and Assistant Editor of the Pittsburgh Lawyers Journal for the Allegheny County Bar Association. Her journalism background includes writing for the Tribune-Democrat in Johnstown, PA, where she covered high school sports, and copy editing and writing for the Tribune-Review in both Greensburg and Pittsburgh. Becky's experience also includes web and graphic design. 

A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh (B.A., Communications and Journalism), Becky is a member of the Carnegie Mellon Women’s Association, the Association for Women in Communications, Pittsburgh Young Professionals, Sierra Club, and the ASPCA. She was the 2014 recipient of the Pat Kleyle Staff Recognition Award in Enrollment Services and was nominated for a Carnegie Mellon University Andy Award in 2014. 

Becky lives in the Pittsburgh area with her husband Kris and their dog Stella Blue.
