New Hire FAQs

Acceptable Form I-9 documentation depends on your citizenship or immigration status:

You must present original, unexpired versions in person at the HR Service Center or local HR office. Remote (off-site) individuals should follow the Form I-9 Instructions for Remote Workers [pdf]

Once you have completed the first four steps of onboarding in Workday, including Section 2 of the Form I-9, the Payment Election task will appear in your Workday Inbox. Refer to the Add and Change Direct Deposit Elections Quick Guide [pdf] for instructions.

Employees must have a valid Social Security number in Workday to establish direct deposit.

Direct deposit is the fastest and easiest way to receive your pay. If no payment elections are made prior to payroll processing or you do not have a Social Security number on file, your default payment election will be a Wisely ADP Paycard which will be sent to your primary address on file in Workday. View the Payroll Resources page to learn more about Wisely ADP Paycards.

Issued by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the Form W-4 is used to determine your federal tax withholdings. You will receive a task in your Workday inbox to complete your tax elections after you complete Section 2 of the Form I-9 at the HR Service Center. You can always access and update the W-4 form on Workday. Please see the Electronic Tax Forms Quick Guide [pdf] for step-by-step information.

Any changes to your W-4 must be submitted prior to a pay deadline for the change to take affect for your next pay. Consult a tax professional for guidance on electing your tax withholdings; the HR Service Center staff cannot advise you on what exemptions you should claim.

To find out if you are eligible for benefits, please refer to the Eligibility and Enrollment information on the Human Resources website. If you are unsure of your employment status, log in to Workday and view your profile. Under the "Overview" tab, select "Job Details" to find your full-time/part-time status. For help enrolling in benefits and more information about your benefit options, please visit the Benefits section of the Human Resources website. You can also reference the benefits election process guides available on My HR Toolkit.
