Enhance Your Credentials

Developing into a well-rounded applicant to a health professions school is important not only to the admissions committee that is evaluating your application, but it is also important to your personal growth as a future health care provider.

Even if you’ve dreamed of being a doctor since you were in elementary school, it is critical that you really know what you are getting yourself into.

Seeking out opportunities to gain clinical experience, such as shadowing a health care professional or interacting with patients, helps you get to know yourself better and shows an admissions committee that you are dedicated to your intended health profession.

In addition, pursuing undergraduate research, interacting with faculty members and fellow students, and volunteering in the community may open your eyes to aspects of yourself you didn’t know existed.
