Desk Services Attendants will serve at one of our three desk locations across campus. DSAs are expected to greet all students and visitors with a positive and energetic attitude, serve as a resource in their community, be very attentive, be flexible, willing to learn new software and processes and ask where assistance is needed before being asked.

Approximate number of positions: 40+ during the academic year. Number varies over summer depending on need

Desk Services Managers will serve on a team and supervise the Desk Services Attendants at our three desk locations. DSMs will be assigned to one home desk to supervise and are expected to approach their work with a positive and energetic attitude, be organized, be flexible, willing to learn new software and processes, anticipate needs of their staff, participate in some decision-making processes and provide support for both the DSAs and the professional staff.

An Administrative Desk Service Manager will work directly with the Graduate Coordinator for Housing Services (GC), Housing Operations Coordinator, as well as the Desk Service Managers to help oversee and manage Desk Services. The ADSM is expected to approach their work with a positive attitude, be well-organized, adaptable and participate in decision making processes.

Approximate number of positions: 1 during academic year
Peak hiring times: March-April for following academic year

This position will serve as general office support at the Housing front desk. Office Assistants must have excellent communication and customer service skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Approximate number of positions: 10-20 during academic year, 2-4 over the summer.
Peak hiring times: May-August for following academic year, November for spring openings, April-May for summer.

This position will assist first-year students with completing their Housing and Dining applications and answering questions about housing buildings and meal plan options.

Approximate number of positions: 1 part-time during the academic year, 1 full-time during the summer FT.

Peak hiring times: April/May for following year.

The Room Selection Assistant is part of a small team of students who work closely with the Housing Services office to advertise and execute the room selection process. The time commitment is 5-10 hours per week, depending on the room selection calendar. 

Approximate number of positions: 3, employed November-March.
