Fairfax Apartments

Fairfax Apartments is an upperclass building in the Oakland community, in close proximity to all the offerings of Craig Street and the main campus. Residents have their own kitchens and bathrooms as a part of the apartment style living, as well as access to common laundry facilities, a gym, an amazing sundeck, and a community room.

The Fairfax experience allows students to have freedom and independence coupled with the opportunity to connect with a community. The weekly community event – “Fairfax Family Night” – is a time where many residents choose to connect with one another and hang out in the building’s community room.

The Fairfax Annex is a small, three story building located right next to the main Fairfax building, and is considered part of the Fairfax Apartments.  Annex apartments are similar in layout to those in the main building.  Annex residents have laundry, air-conditioning (window units), and access to the main building.

Cable and Internet

Webster residents must do the following to login to WIFI:

  1. Reset the device. The Xfinity gateway has a physical reset button on the rear of the unit. To reset to factory default, you must hold down the button for at least 60 seconds. It take five minutes for the device to reboot and power on.
  2. Once powered on, the Xfinity gateway will broadcast the default wireless network name (SSID) that is on the side of the unit.
  3. Connect to that wireless network using the password printed on the side of the gateway.

If you are having any issues with this process, please refer to the Troubleshooting Guide.
