Quitting Aids Available to Students, Faculty, & Staff

University Health Services offers over-the-counter nicotine replacement therapies (NRT), including patches, gum and lozenges.  NRT products are available to all students, faculty, and staff.

Remember, NRT help with the physical withdrawal from nicotine and should be used in combination with a cessation program to address both the physical and mental parts of addiction.  This approach - using NRT with a cessation program - has been shown to double a person's chances of quitting!

Other forms of NRT (nasal spray and inhalers), as well as non-nicotine medications, are also available to help with quitting.  These treatments are available by prescription.
