Peer Health Advocate
Hi! My name is Claire Farrokh, and I'm from Plainfield, NJ. I'm a junior in the School of Drama majoring in stage and production management. This is my third year as a PHA, and it's been an incredible experience so far. I'm always happy to talk about anything health-related, and I'm especially passionate about sexual health and alcohol safety. Feel free to contact me with any questions!
Lead Peer Health Advocate in Training
My name is Amber Griffith and this is my first year being a PHA. I am a freshman in the School of Computer Science. I joined PHAs because I loved the cause of helping to educate my community on topics that are pertinent to everyday college life. I think that it is extremely important for our community to learn and understand about health concerns, and who better to teach than students themselves?! Outside of PHA, I love to draw and not only practice my own creativity but to be able to see it in others too.
Hello! My name is Colby Yu and I am a sophomore Logic and Computation major in Dietrich. In addition to being a PHA, I am a part of CMU Senate and currently sit on the Communications Committee. I am truly excited to be someone who the CMU community can look up to when facing with difficult circumstances and talk to when needing advice on making healthy choices: “Need Advice? Don’t Think Twice! YU Can Help YOU!”
Hi! I’m Sam Smith. I’m a sophomore, and this is my first year being a PHA. Being a peer health advocate is a wonderful experience, allowing me to interact with the CMU student body and to help people in various ways. No matter the topic, helping others better understand health is an enriching experience and I enjoy doing it! Feel free to contact me if you want to talk. 😊
